The Pantherne suffered their second potentially serious injury to the training ground for three days when cornerback Ross Cockrell was taken off the field with a left leg injury. Panther's coach Ron Rivera finished the test on Monday immediately after Cockrell's injury. Rivera said he would not speculate on the injury until the coaches had time to evaluate Cockrell. Cockrell was injured when he tried to break a passport in the final area. Several teammates smiled openly and quickly looking away from seeing Cockrell, clearly having what they saw.
